CourtYard: Tripadvisor London
I was tasked with creating signage for large meeting rooms in Tripadvisor London's new workplace. The meeting room "Courtyard" can be split up into two meeting rooms: "Court" and "Yard" via a retractable wall. My signage unites the two through written copy, but differentiates the two visually.
To tackle this assignment with confidence, I created 6 different versions of the custom typography above to present for consideration. There are 3 distinct styles, and 2 versions of each style. One version uses cohesive imagery between "Court" and "Yard," and the other inverts the colors of "Yard" to establish separation between the two rooms. Version F, which uses both an inverted "Yard" graphic and an inverted colored stroke, was selected for production.
To articulate the details of thickness and porportion to the design firm, I created a 3D model using Rhino 8 so I could zoom in and out of these details in real time while presenting. This model was also passed along to the signage vendor, who also made use of it to understand the vision.
"CourtYard" is currently hung in Tripadvisor's new London office, which opened on July 4, 2025.
